In the long river of history, Taoist thought is like a shining pearl, emitting the light of wisdom. Laozi, the founder of the Taoist school, has influenced countless people in later generations with his profound thought and unique way of health preservation.
Laozi often meditates alone, staying away from the hustle and bustle of the world and immersing himself in the perception of the way of heaven, earth and nature. Wearing simple robes, with snow-white hair and flowing beard, there is a kind of tranquility and profundity transcending the world in his eyes. Whether in the peaceful mountains and forests or by the gurgling brook, Laozi can find inner peace and integrate with nature.
One day, the sun shines on the ground through the gaps between leaves, forming patches of 光斑. Laozi is sitting under an ancient big tree, with his eyes closed, quietly thinking. At this time, a group of his disciples gathered around. One of the disciples respectfully asked, "Teacher, we often hear you talk about the mystery of the Tao. Today, the disciple boldly asks, what is the way of health preservation?"
Laozi slowly opened his eyes and smiled as he pointed to the big tree beside him. That big tree is tall and straight, with luxuriant branches and leaves, standing quietly there as if integrated with heaven and earth. Laozi softly said, "Look at this tree. It grows quietly and does not compete with all things. It conforms to nature. People should also be like this. With inner peace and not being moved by the disturbances of the outside world, one can achieve the purpose of health preservation."
The disciples listened and thought deeply. One of the disciples asked, "Teacher, how can we achieve inner peace and not be moved by the disturbances of the outside world?" Laozi slightly raised his head and looked at the white clouds floating in the sky. Slowly he said, "The heart is like still water. Not lured by fame and fortune and not trapped by desires. When you can let go of the distractions in your heart and view everything in the world with a peaceful attitude, you can feel inner peace."
Another disciple asked again, "Teacher, what should we do in our daily lives?" Laozi smiled and replied, "Have regular daily routines and moderate diet. Don't overwork. Conform to the rhythm of nature. Work at sunrise and rest at sunset. Don't overly pursue delicious food in diet but maintain moderation. At the same time, don't overwork and leave enough time for yourself to rest and relax."
The disciples nodded one after another, expressing that they had benefited a lot. From then on, they also learned to find inner peace in meditation to achieve the purpose of health preservation.
Under Laozi's instruction, the disciples began to adjust their lifestyles. They no longer rushed around for fame and fortune but learned to let go of their desires and face life with a peaceful attitude. Every morning, they would get up early and conduct meditation and breathing exercises in the fresh air to relax their body and mind. During the day, they would engage in some simple labor such as farming and weaving, which not only exercised their bodies but also cultivated their patience and perseverance. In the evening, they would read classics under the peaceful moonlight and think about the meaning of life to nourish their souls.
As time passed, the disciples became healthier and healthier, and their mentality became more and more peaceful. They deeply understood the true meaning of Laozi's way of health preservation. In their view, health preservation is not only the maintenance of the body but also the cultivation of the soul. Only when the heart is peaceful and not moved by the disturbances of the outside world can one truly achieve the purpose of health preservation.
And Laozi's way of health preservation gradually spread and influenced more and more people. Many people began to reflect on their lifestyles and pursue inner peace and physical health. They learned to conform to the rhythm of nature, no longer overwork and no longer be addicted to material enjoyment. Instead, they pay attention to inner cultivation and cultivate their own morality and wisdom.
In this noisy world, Laozi's way of meditative health preservation is like a clear spring, bringing spiritual comfort and physical health to people. It reminds us that in the busy life, don't forget to stop, listen to the voice of the heart, and find that peace that belongs to us. Only when we truly achieve inner peace and are not moved by the disturbances of the outside world can we have a healthy and happy life.
